Driving License Category A2
The driving licence category A2 permits you to drive motorcycles without a sidecar with the maximum engine power of 35 kW. Its power/weight ratio cannot exceed 0.2 kg/kW.
The step-by-step construction of this driving license allows you to make your small motorcycle driving license early and then gradually move up to higher engine power by obtaining the A2 license.
Motorcycles and scooters
Driving license category A2 is the second stage of a motorcycle driver's licence. This permits you to operate mopeds and small motorcycles of up to 50cc. This class allows you to gradually increase the power of your vehicle, and also to dream of larger engines. The test is a little more difficult than that of the first category, and you will need to attend more theory lessons to prepare.
The category A2 driving licence is valid until the age of 24. It can be used together with a category A1 car driving licence or as part an interim driver's license. If you are older than 24 years old, however you must have a full category A driving licence to drive motorcycles with more than 35 kW.
You can obtain a group A1 driving license at the age of 16 (in Denmark and Malta, 15 and in Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia 14). Once you are over the age of 16 you must pass the A2 category motorbike test. You need to pass this before the age of 18. After two years, you are able to be upgraded to category A.
After passing the test in category A2, you're allowed to drive a motorcycle, either with or without sidecar, and vehicles that have up to 35 kW of power. The vehicles must also have a weight/power ratio of not more than 0.2 kW/kg and cannot be derived from a vehicle that has twice the maximum power.
If you have completed a two-part moped test or lower category motorcycle test as of the 1st July 1996 then you are eligible to skip the theory test and take the test in practice. You can ride a small moped or scooter that has L plates, or take the new AM licence that will enable you to ride up to 50cc bikes with a maximum speed of 45mph. The AM licence is only valid if you've passed the theory test, and have completed nine hours of training at a driving school.
Vehicles with four wheels
This category includes all motor vehicles with four wheels that are not buses or passenger cars. This category also includes utility vehicles such as pickups vans, panels, and pickups. Motorhomes, campers, and lorries are also included. This category also includes vehicles like ambulances, hearses and carryalls, which are designed to transport more than eight passengers or have a maximum permissible mass of more than 750kg. Drivers with an A1 license are able to operate vehicles of this kind with trailers that have an authorized maximum weight of up to 775kg.
You must have passed the theory exam to be able to drive a car in this category. You will need to complete 12 90-minute classes on the basic material, as well as 4 90-minute lessons on the additive (category AA2). The test for the theory requires an average score of 70%.
After passing the theory test you will be required to pass a driving exam on both private and public roads. Once you have passed both tests, you will receive a request for a driving license. You must present this request to the local authority within three years of passing your practical test.
After passing your driving test, it is possible to begin driving vehicles that fall in the category of A2. In certain countries, if held an A1 licence for two years, you do not have to take an additional driving test in order to get a category A2 license that permits you to drive motorbikes with up to 35 kW. This lets you get familiar with less powerful two-wheelers before upgrading to more powerful machines.
If you hold a driving licence of category A2, you can use a tricycle so long as it has the capacity of 125cc, and an output power of 11 kW. This category was prior to the A licence. Drivers who had a category A license prior to the 19th January 2013 were allowed to ride mopeds and retain the right.
Motor vehicles with five or more wheels
This category includes power-driven vehicles designed to be used on a road and are used for the transportation of passengers or goods. They must have at the very least two or three wheels that are in contact with the ground and a saddle or seat for the driver and passenger and the ability to produce speeds of 20 miles per hour or more. These vehicles are usually equipped with a steering wheel as well as brakes. They can also be steered and can be driven in reverse. In some cases the hoods of these vehicles may be opened. Historically, this classification has used to describe trucks (van mini-vans, mini-vans panel, pickup, sport utility) and busses that carry 16 or more passengers. A slightly different definition is used by an additional federal requirement that governs uniform licensing standards for commercial vehicle drivers. This definition excludes vehicles rated at 26,001 pounds or more.
The category A2 driving licence can also be used to drive a motorized cycle, moped or motorcycle. This type of driving license is only valid for motors that have the maximum cylinder volume of 125 cubic centimeters or a maximum power of 15 kilowatts. It can also be used to drive tricycles with motors. This license class requires the minimum age of 16 years. Physically disabled persons may also be granted a provisional right to ride category A1 or A motor tricycles.
Some people opt to get an operator license, which is valid for vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of 3,500kg, and up to eight passenger seats. A driver's operator license allows them to tow trailers up to 750kg MAM. They are also able to drive a tractor or construction machine with a trailer that weighs up to 3,500kg MAM.
The designs of different kinds of two- and three-wheeled vehicles continue to change, it's crucial that NHTSA keep its guidelines to date. Importers, manufacturers and import specialists often request interpretations from the agency on the proper classification of vehicles. NHTSA has developed a set of guidelines to help in the classification process. These guidelines include:
Motor vehicles with trailers
Category A2 comprises
ile kosztuje prawo jazdy na motor kosztuje
b1 prawo jazdy prawo jazdy na motor na motor (
tawassol.univ-tebessa.dz) vehicles that have trailers. These are not vehicles pulled by the driver, but are pulled behind larger vehicles such as cars. For instance the tractor that pulls trailers would fall into this category, as would small trucks designed for carrying loads, like those employed by plumbers or painters to transport tools and equipment to the work site. The maximum authorised mass (MAM) for this class is 8,250kg.
To drive a vehicle in this class you must pass the theory test for category A1 or have obtained a driving license by direct entry. You may also need to pass a practical driving test depending on the type of vehicle you want to drive.
The licence you receive for category A2 is valid for three years starting from the date you pass your theory test. You must renew it prior to the expiry date to keep it in effect.
In addition to the categories above, you may also be granted a driving license for other vehicles that have special requirements. For example, you need an exclusive license to drive a large goods vehicle, which is classified as a category C. This requires knowledge of special regulations for the transportation of dangerous products.
A car driving licence in category B permits you to drive a combination of an automobile and trailer that doesn't meet the requirements of category C. This is where the code 96 is used. Code 96 is added to your category B driving licences when you have completed your theory test and practical test but your vehicle and trailer don't qualify for a category C licence under the norms.
You must hold a driving license for category
kat b for at least two years, and you must pass both a theory and practical test. You should also have taken an exclusive course and received additional training to be eligible for this. This is referred to as a driver's training course.
